Not every organization requires a standing team, and this service does not presuppose one. Where the in-house competence exists and the preference is to own and operate the router directly, the software is provided for deployment on the organization's own infrastructure, together with assistance in establishing it and the documentation required to operate it thereafter. It entails no retainer and no dependence on the continued availability of the provider.

What is delivered is the router itself, operated by the organization: the same core technology, run under its own control.

The service applies where the internal capability and the preference for direct control are present, or simply where a staffed arrangement does not correspond to the organization's circumstances. This is not a diminished option; for some it is the appropriate one.

Its defining characteristic is low dependence. The organization operates the software, owns its configuration, and is not reliant on the provider to keep it functioning. Where that is what is required, it is what should be taken.
